The GERB-SDS nominee for Prime Minister Mariya Gabriel held talks with the second largest parliamentary group - "We continue the change - Democratic Bulgaria" (PP-DB) - in the presence of GERB-SDS representatives.

GERB leader Boyko Borissov, who joined the talks later, pointed out that the conclusion from this meeting is that the two coalitions have "so many things in common".

The co-chairman of "We Continue the Change" Kiril Petkov said the problem between the two coalitions was rooted in a lack of trust

Borissov pointed out that among the PP-DB there are people who, for the sake of Bulgaria, can form a good cabinet that will take Bulgaria to a radically different level because "caretaker governments are not a good solution." "We have a chance: the Recovery and Sustainability Plan, the EU funds, we can do the job with our capacity," Borissov further said.

In response, Kiril Petkov stressed that in a normal country the talks are about priorities, not about office holders, scams and corruption. Petkov recalled that the PP-DB had decisions of their national bodies not to support the first mandate of GERB-SDS.
