Report: Public administrations have problems with electronic security

Account details of government officials are on the 'dark web'. Many administrations still provide non-government emails, reads the 2022 report of the Ministry of e-Government.

Domains other than "bg" are used for official websites and mail. A number of institutions continue to use old versions of security protocols. Only 37% of all administrations have departments or specialists for system support. In 2022, 175 administrations (30% of all administrations) relied entirely on external experts. According to the report, many municipal administrations lack funds for software and licenses.
