The residents of the northwestern town of Vratsa celebrate Easter in the festively decorated central square, where everyone can get a piece of a 100-meter long kozunak Easter bread and enjoy a folklore concert. Earlier, many attended the evening services in the town's churches to welcome the Resurrection of Christ.

Metropolitan Gregory of Vratsa today gave each of those attending the Second Resurrection service in the church a printed icon and a red egg. "Let us not cease to pray for peace in the world and for the softening of the hearts of those on whom it is up to restore it," urged the Metropolitan.
