On Holy Wednesday, Metropolitan Cyprian of Stara Zagora will conduct "Stabat Mater" - one of the most emblematic works by Gioachino Rossini, on the stage of the Stara Zagora Opera. Stabat Mater was created on the basis of a medieval Latin poem about the sufferings of the Mother of Christ near the cross of the Savior. Soloists Emilia Ivanova /soprano/, Petya Petrova /mezzo-soprano/, Ivaylo Yovchev /tenor/, Ivaylo Dzhurov /bass/, the choir and orchestra of the opera will present the story of suffering, sorrow and faith that love and beauty always find a way to our hearts.

Before going to Stara Zagora, Metropolitan Cyprian had experience as a conductor of the choir "St. Sophronius Bishop of Vratsa", which has a number of international awards.
