Panagyurishte gold treasure on display at the British Museum

One of the most spectacular Bulgarian treasures - the Panagyurishte treasure – has left for London.

It will be part of an exhibition: Luxury and power: Persia to Greece at the British Museum, the National History Museum has announced. The exposition, which officially open on 4 May, will trace the connection between wealth and politics in the first millennium BC, presenting some dazzling objects from Europe to Asia.  

Dr. Bonni Petrunova, Director of the National History Museum met with the curator of the Bulgarian exhibition Dr. Jamie Fraser. The biggest museum institution in Bulgaria has negotiated, with the British Museum, an exchange of good practices and experts in the sphere of museum work, archaeology and cultural heritage.
