Professional football club "Slavia" will celebrate 110 years since it was founded. Athletes, coaches and fans of the team will lay flowers at the monument of Dimitar Blagoev-Pallo - the first president of "Slavia".
The club was founded after the unification of the clubs "Razvitie" and "Botev" on April 10, 1913 at two o'clock in the afternoon on the field near the Russian Monument, its first protocol book states. The team colours were then white and black. In 1926 "Slavia" became the champion of Bulgaria for the first time. It was the first Bulgarian team to reach the semi-finals of a European club tournament - in 1967 in the National Cup tournament. "Slavia" is 8 times champion of the country and 13 times winner of the Cup of Bulgaria.
