The Bulgarian Orthodox Church is organizing a blood donation campaign

On Palm Sunday, April 9, with the blessing of the Bulgarian Patriarch Neophyte, in temporary blood donation points at the Orthodox churches of Saint Nedelya, Sveti Sedmochislenitsi, the Nativity of Christ, and Pokrov Bogorodichen, the traditional campaign for voluntary blood donation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.


Anyone who wishes to donate blood can do so in the building of the National Blood Donation Centre, at the address: 112 Bratya Miladinovi Str., from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., as well as at the temporary points near:
Sveta Nedelya Church in the aula of the Faculty of Theology, at Sveta Nedelya square rom 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.;
"Sveti Sedmochiselnitsi" Church in the building at 6 Graf Ignatiev Str., from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.;
Pokrov Bogorodichen Church - in the "Pokrov Bogorodichen" Parish Center behind the former Rodina hotel, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The organizer of the event is the National Center for Transfusion Hematology (NCTH), in partnership with the Sofia Holy Metropolitan, the Bulgarian Red Cross, etc. 

On this bright holiday, residents of the capital and guests of the city are urged to donate blood and support the efforts of medical teams to save the lives and health of seriously ill and injured patients: "Donate blood. Give life from yourself. Save a life. Now!”
