The number of machines with various technical problems that forced the switch to paper voting has grown to 65. According to CEC spokesperson Rositsa Mateva, the reasons are unreadable smart cards, no touch screen sensitivity, and other problems.

She also said that by 1 p.m. two complaints and 37 signals had been submitted for various violations on election day. In addition, nearly 1,000 polling stations failed to test-connect to the CCTV platform yesterday for which the e-governance ministry has informed the CEC through a letter.

According to the CEC, the number of voters across the country was just over 591,000. By 11 am, the turnout for the three multi-mandate constituencies of Sofia was 8.33%; 6.75% and 8.95% respectively. Most people voted in Montana - 14.7% and the least - in Plovdiv-city - 6.16%. In Kardzhali the turnout was 6.45%, in Vidin - 12.8% and in Silistra - 10.7%.
