Tsvetelina Peneva, chair of the Central Election Commission’s Public Council urged people to go out and vote for a new parliament on Sunday because the enhanced police presence will ensure that the election process go ahead in a normal fashion.

In the past few days, schools, where the polling stations will be located on Sunday, have been the target of bomb threats sent by email

“I do not think the bomb threats can stop people from having their say about how they want to be governed from now on,” Tsvetelina Peneva said for the BNR. If there are any threats on election day, then things will be in the hands of the security authorities, she said. All members of the election administration and voters should strictly follow the rules and the protocol to be drawn up by the Interior Ministry, Tsvetelina Peneva said.
