Grain producers from all over the country closed roads to the "Danube Bridge" border crossing near Ruse with tractors and long queues of trucks formed as a result.

Protesting farmers have one main demand - stopping the import of grain and sunflower from Ukraine, as it affects domestic production. Grain producers from Vidin also blocked the E-79 international road at the entrance to the city. Protesters from the region of Pernik are expected to start a protest rally on the highway to Sofia.

Meanwhile, the press office of the President Rumen Radev announced that he will meet today with representatives of the National Association of Grain Producers. After that, it will be decided whether the three-day protest actions will continue, Nikolay Kirov, the chairman of the Union of Grain Producers in Burgas, told BTA.
