Grigor Dimitrov scores victory in Miami

Bulgaria's top tennis player Grigor Dimitrov qualified for the third round of the tennis tournament of the Masters series in Miami with a prize fund of 8.8 million dollars. Placed under number 21, in the main draw, the 31-year-old Bulgarian made a comeback and defeated German qualifier Jan-Lenard Struff 4:6, 7:6(5), 6:4 in 2:34 hours of play


With the victory, Dimitrov secured 45 world ranking points and $55,770 in prize money. 

In the third round, he will play versus No. 10-seed Jannik Sinner. In the ATP world rankings, the 21-year-old Italian is 11th and so far has seven titles in his career, two of which came at the Sofia Open in 2020 and 2021. Dimitrov has one win in his only match with Italy's Sinner, at the 2020 Rome Masters.
