Cases of vote buying on the rise, authorities report

Photo: BGNES

Authorities have reported that some voters trade their vote for the upcoming elections for about 75 euros. According to caretaker Minister of Interior, Ivan Demerdzhiev, provision of various social services is also among the schemes for buying votes, which operate on the edge of the law and the task of the Ministry of Interior is to detect violations.

According to Demerdzhiev, the expected pressure from vote buyers is greater, therefore the number of reports and pre-trial proceedings are on the rise.
