Ukraine encourages Bulgaria to also provide MiG-29 fighter jets, as Poland and Slovakia did, adviser in the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, Yuriy Sak, said in an interview with BNT.

He added that his country was preparing for a spring offensive and needed to strengthen its air force, which provides air cover for ground operations. Ukrainians are currently fighting heavy battles in Bakhmut and Avdiivka, where, according to Yuriy Sak, between 900 and 1,000 Russian soldiers are being killed every day, as they are used by the Kremlin's armed forces as cannon fodder. Ukraine is also making sacrifices, he added.
