The EU defense ministers are meeting at an informal meeting in Stockholm, the Swedish presidency announced. On March 7 and 8, in the presence of Ukrainian representatives, military support for Ukraine will be discussed, including the training of Ukrainian military personnel and the purchase of artillery ammunition for Kyiv.

Estonia has already proposed that the EU set aside 4 billion euros for the purchase of 155 mm. projectiles.

Ukrainian generals will inform the participants of the forum about the situation at the front.

Fighting continues near the Ukrainian city of Bakhmut. President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the commanders' council decided to continue the defense of the city. At the same time, Russian forces are trying to tighten the siege of the city and secure their first major victory on the battlefield in more than 6 months. Bakhmut is not surrounded, said the chairman of the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov, but described the situation there as complex, Reuters reports.
