Possible reduction in price of goods due to speculation will occur in the summer at the earliest

In three months at the earliest, it is expected that the state measures against speculation will yield results and the goods whose prices are the result of unfair trade practices will decrease in price, Stoil Alipiev, chairman of the Commission for Consumer Protection, predicted for BNT.

Attracting shoppers with promotional goods that are not available, false advertisements such as "3 for the price of 2", commercial messages such as "Today only at this price" are the most common unfair trade practices, Alipiev claims.
In recent months, the commission has carried out 471 inspections of food pricing, mostly in large retail chains, and found 452 violations.
