The Ministry of Interior is fully prepared for the upcoming parliamentary elections on April 2, as it has started preparations on time. This was announced by Interior Minister Ivan Demerdzhiev to journalists in Plovdiv on the first day of the election campaign. He said that the police had already identified risky polling stations with an unusually high number of preferences.
Signals have been received and the first proceedings for vote buying have been initiated. Law enforcement agencies are ready to counter vote buying. Demerdzhiev said he believed the machine voting would go smoothly, as well as the direct transmission of the ballot counting.
