The Bulgarian association Rila in Spain is currently raising money to aid the victims of the catastrophic earthquakes in Turkey and Syria. Donations can be made at the Bulgarian Sunday school Rayna Knyaginya in Burgos, Spain, as well as in two of the stores in the town which are owned by Bulgarians. The money will be transferred every week to the account of the Turkish embassy in Bulgaria, the organization writes on Facebook, ending the post with the words: Doing good makes sense when it is on time.
The charity campaign will go on for at least one month, Dilyana Bodurova, chair of the Rila association said for the Bulgarian news agency BTA. It is not the only charity cause Rila has been engaged with. Its campaigns mostly aim to help Bulgarians with health issues, and Ukrainians after the Russian invasion of their country.
