The National Association of Volunteers in Bulgaria has announced that on Tuesday morning it will send its rescue teams to Turkey to help on the ground after the devastating earthquake

"Exactly about 20 people are leaving tomorrow morning. We are in contact with colleagues who are rescuers in Turkey. The situation is quite bad, there are many aftershocks, there are many people in distress. Among us there is one doctor and three paramedics who will travel. We also have people who have completed specialized courses specifically for response to earthquakes. So I hope we will be able to help in the best way possible," paramedic Georgi Vlaikov told BNR.
