A policeman was detained on Wednesday morning on Trakia motorway near the town of Plovdiv while driving a van carrying 31 migrants. The detainee has admitted that he transported migrants several times, the District Prosecutor's Office-Plovdiv said.
The migrants said they paid about EUR 200 per person to be transported through the country. The policeman explained that he was paying off a large loan and needed the money, the BNR Plovdiv reported.
