Prosecutor's office starts inspection over computer virus in the BNR system

The Sofia City Prosecutor's Office has initiated an inspectionon the occasion of media publications about a detected virus in the digital system for managing content and broadcasting in the Bulgarian National Radio (BNR), the state prosecution announced. 

The purpose of the inspection is to establish whether there are facts and circumstances for establishing a possible computer crime. 

The Criminal Code provides for 5 to 12 years of imprisonment if the act has serious consequences. 

After the inspection is completed, the materials will be sent to the prosecutor's office to assess whether there are grounds for initiating pre-trial proceedings.
