"Turkey promised to stop the flow of migrants to Bulgaria", said caretaker Minster of Interior Ivan Demerdzhiev, who was part of President Rumen Radev's delegation that visited Istanbul and met with Turkish President Recep Erdogan, reported Nova TV.

"President Erdogan gave instructions to the Turkish Interior Minister that the Bulgaria-Turkey border should be literally closed, which means that the pressure would be taken on by the Turkish units", Demerdzhiev stressed. Minister Demerdzhiev explained that until now much of the migrant pressure was stopped by the Bulgarian border police and the troops deployed to the border.
