Artefacts from the period 7th century BC - 12th century AD, among which a rare Thracian sword, ornaments from the Thracian and Roman eras, silver and bronze objects are exhibited in the Historical Museum in Chiprovtsi. They are described in detail in the colorful catalog to the exhibition entitled "Archaeology in the Chiprovtsi region - new finds".

"The idea for this exhibition was born thanks to two donations of archaeological objects received in 2022. The diverse nature of the finds in these donations prompted a comprehensive documentation, scientific study and presentation of these things", explained archaeologist and chief curator of the museum Miroslav Markov in front of BNR Vidin.

Several new sites have been found during recent field visits in the area, explained the archaeologist, who is already planning archaeological research in the fortresses near Chiprovtsi.
