The Christmas spirit comes to Sofia

A breathtaking fire show and aerial acrobatic acts kicked off the first Sofia Christmas Festival, which began on Friday (November 18) and will last exactly one month - until December 18. Visitors will be part of numerous cultural, sports and entertainment events. Fragrant drinks, culinary experiences, supplemented with the emotions of the World Cup of football will raise the tone of the visitors in the garden behind the National Palace of Culture.

For another year, the German Christmas Market offers handmade goods, Christmas gifts and entertainment for young and old. The aroma of mulled wine and sausages opened on Friday in Sofia's City Garden and will be open to visitors until December 22.

On December 4, the Christmas Park Sofia will also open its doors. It will be located on Slaveykov Square downtown Sofia. A Christmas forest with living trees will "sprout" there, which will then be returned to grow in a nursery. Children's and youth choirs, as well as established names from the Bulgarian music scene, will perform on the stage of the square. Talented artists of applied arts and crafts will offer their works in cozy wooden houses. Visitors will be able to preserve their Christmas smiles in photos from a specially designated photo corner.  The Christmas Park will be open until December 30.

Christmas is coming so let's get in the mood and charge ourselves with some warmth for the holiday by taking a walk in the centre of the Bulgarian capital city!
