BSP regional structures want resignation of party leader Kornelia Ninova

"The decline of trust in our party can be seen at national and local level. The chair of the party is the one responsible." This is what Mikhail Liskov, chairman of BSP-Harmanli, told BNR and called for convening of the party's congress by the end of the year and for the resignation of party leader, Kornelia Ninova. According to Liskov, Ninova and the Executive Bureau make unilateral decisions without consulting the local structures, which contradicts the party's statutes.

Several regional organizations of the BSP have adopted positions directed against the processes in the socialist party and declared that they were removing their trust from the party leader.

In the elections for the 48th National Assembly, the Socialists fell to a historic low fifth place.
