Natural gas prices go down by 47%

Bulgaria's Commission for Energy and Water Regulation has approved the price of natural gas for November in the amount of BGN 62.89 EUR/MWh, excluding taxes and fees. For the previous month of October, the price approved by the regulator was 119.13 EUR/MWh, which means that in November gas became cheaper by 47%.

Due to the cheaper gas, the Commission for Energy and Water Regulation will keep the current prices for heating and hot water and they will not be changed from 1 January 2023.

The commission states that the significantly lower price for November is due to the competitive price conditions under the long-term contract for the supply of natural gas from Azerbaijan.
