"The Macedonian Cultural Club, which will be opened tomorrow in Blagoevgrad, is the work of an unconstitutional organization that is not registered under Bulgarian law", said Bulgaria’s caretaker Premier Galab Donev after the ceremony in North Macedonia that marked the start of the construction of the eastern section, Kumanovo-Beljakovce-Kriva Palanka, of the Rail Corridor 8. "We shall make sure that this club does not advocate concepts that are inconsistent with our laws", Galab Donev noted.

For his part, North Macedonia‘s Premier Dimitar Kovacevski noted that Sofia and Skopje should create organisations and events aimed at bringing citizens and institutions closer. He also said that the Republic of North Macedonia will send a request to Bulgaria’s government to open an official cultural center in Blagoevgrad.
