The caretaker cabinet has approved a bill, drafted by the Ministry of Justice, on countering high-level corruption.

At a briefing at the Council of Ministers, Justice Minister in the caretaker government Krum Zarkov announced that a total of three new bills drafted by the Ministry of Justice had been approved today. They are part of Bulgaria’s commitments under the Recovery and Resilience Plan and have to be adopted by the end of this year if Bulgaria wants to benefit from the second tranche under this plan, Minister Zarkov explained. In his words, the anti-corruption bill will settle the issue of effective and independent investigations at the highest levels of state administration.
