Desislava Atanasova from GERB: The time for opposing each other has expired

Conversations between political forces and finding common ground despite the opposing positions they hold are the only chance for the 48th National Assembly, Desislava Atanasova from GERB-SDS pointed out in her speech in the plenary hall

According to her, Bulgaria is in such a critical situation that politicians cannot afford any more childish battles for supremacy or populism bordering on deliberately pushing the state towards bankruptcy and Bulgarian society towards anarchy.

"The current parliamentary configuration is not convenient for anyone, but nevertheless we are obliged to try to lead the country through the crises. This approach, which would cost each of us enormous effort and inconvenience, is the only chance that the 48th National Assembly will not fail.”

Political courage today means being able to seek points of agreement with those against whom your own voters voted, Atanasova added.
