Nanocoatings which are able to limit the infectious activity of viruses and bacteria on various surfaces such as door handles and dispensers are created by an international team of scientists within the framework of the project "STOP" - Surface Transfer of Pathogens.

A team from the Institute of Electronics of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences is also involved in the research. The aim of their activity is to prevent the occurrence of infections through contact with contaminated surfaces and thus improve the protection of human health. The first results are expected in February 2024.
