Bulgaria and Italy have very good economic relations, but the main challenge for Italian investors in Bulgaria is to find employees with the necessary qualifications, especially in specific sectors such as textiles, mechanics, mechanical engineering, etc. This is what Italian Ambassador to Bulgaria Giuseppina Zarra told BNR.

Another challenge is Bulgaria's legal system and to what extent it can be relied on. "You know that when certain procedures are initiated, there must be predictability. Sometimes the lack of it can discourage Italian businesses from investing," the ambassador said.

Н.E. Ms Zarra confirmed that her country supports Bulgaria's accession to Schengen and encourages Bulgaria to join the single currency.
