The Sofia City Prosecutor's Office has started work related to media information that according to Russian investigation there was Bulgarian complicity in the explosion of the Crimean Bridge on October 8.

I hope that the Bulgarian services will urgently dispel all claims about participation of this country in the blast, Chief Prosecutor Ivan Geshev wrote in Twitter.

"The Crimean bridge is a completely legitimate military target,” former Minister of Defense Prof. Todor Tagarev told BNR. "This is a bridge that was built by Russia in violation of international law and the laws of Ukraine and it restricts the movement of Ukrainian ships to Ukrainian ports, so this explosion cannot be called a terrorist act," Tagarev added.

He pointed out that the bridge was blown up in 3 places, which was impossible to be caused by an explosion of a truck. The expert expressed doubts that the explosion was the work of Ukraine and said that Russia was using the name of Bulgaria in order to implicate NATO in the conspiracy.
