After the qualifying draw in Frankfurt for UEFA Euro 2024 in Germany, the national football team of Bulgaria falls into one group with Hungary, Serbia, Montenegro and LithuaniaThe qualifiers will be played from March to November 2023. The first two teams from each group will qualify directly for UEFA 2024 finals.

“An interesting group, I think Serbia is the favourite. The teams are approximately equal in strength. It will probably be more emotional to play against my home country, I feel good to be returning to Serbia. We are a young team and they are the favourites. We mustn’t give up,” commented the national coach of the Bulgarian national team Mladen Krstajić for BNT after the draw.
