Producer price index in Bulgaria rises by 8.7% for the month

The general producer price index has increased by 8.7% in August 2022 compared to the previous month, NSI data show. A significant growth was registered in the production and distribution of electric and heat energy and gas - by 28%.

The overall producer price index in August 2022 compared to the same month of 2021 has increased by 50.3%. In the prices of the production and distribution of electricity, heat and gas, the growth was 130.6%.
