In the next parliament, after the elections on October 2, a stalemate is looming. According to sociologists and political scientists, if a government is formed, it will not be stable. They see indications for this in the election campaign, which is filled with negative messages that highlight the red lines between the main political forces, which rely mostly on their hard-line electorate.

Although 69 percent of Bulgarians, according to Trend data, expect to have a regular government after the elections, according to Yuliy Pavlov from the Examiner Center, the probability that it will be formed is between 10 and 35%. According to the psychologist Antoineta Hristova, the parties will find it difficult to agree on a possible cabinet, but if they succeed there will be severe political upheavals.
