Bulgaria reports sharp decrease in number of new Covid-19 cases

198 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours out of 1,423 tests performed. Cases are down by 606 from a day earlier. 13.9% of the tests came back positive, Single Coronavirus Information Portal data show. 63% of the new Covid-19 cases are among the unvaccinated.

The number of active cases of coronavirus infection increased with 163 to 10,065. 17 patients have been admitted to hospitals in the past day, as 11 of them were not immunized. The number of hospitalized patients has increased with 15 to 571, with 31 patients in intensive care units.

1 Covid-related death has been reported in the past day. 34 people have been reported cured.

A mere 131 vaccine doses were administered on Saturday. 2,070,958 is the number of people with a completed vaccination cycle.
