Bulgarian farmers protest against the import of Ukrainian grain

Farmers protested in various places in Bulgarian against the import of Ukrainian grain. According to them, imports are not regulated and undercut the prices of domestic products. The protest marches with heavy agricultural equipment made traffic difficult on many roads.

The grain producers demanded to know where the Ukrainian grain was stored and insisted that it not be mixed with local production. They also spoke out against the requirements of the European Union regarding the Green Deal and the extraction of shale gas in Dobrudzha - the most fertile Bulgarian region.

Farmers in another 12 EU countries are also expected to protest tomorrow.
