Official election campaign donations remain low

The pre-election donations for "We Continue the Change" have been decreasing compared to the campaign in the autumn of 2021, interim reports filed to the State Audit Office show.

"We Continue the Change" have attracted 154,000 euros for the vote on October 2. For the entire campaign in November 2021, they raised 6 times more. Their interim report for the previous vote was for 500,000 euros. Traditionally, GERB and MRF do not accept donations. The other parties report small donated amounts.

According to the Institute for Public Environment Development, for the first 10 days of the campaign, the political formations invested a total of 625,000 euros in media. GERB, BSP and "We Continue the Change" provided 50% of all funds spent for political advertising in media.
