A British tourist is in serious condition after falling into one of the chutes on Strazhite Peak in Bulgaria's Pirin Mountain, the mountain rescue service in Bansko reported.

The peak is difficult to reach from all sides, even for experienced mountaineers. According to the rescuers who arrived at the scene of the accident, the young woman is believed to have sustained a brain injury.
A crew of a Cougar helicopter from Bulgaria's Air Force will help transport the woman to a medical facility, the press center of the Ministry of Defence announced.
