Nearly 17% of daily Covid-19 tests return positive result

There were 1,150 new Covid-19 cases registered in Bulgaria in the past day. According to official data, 16.77% of 6,855 tests were positive. There are 920 patients in hospital, as 50 are in intensive care. 146 new patients were hospitalized and two people died. The number of recoveries in the past day reached 2,608.

Most of the new cases were registered in Sofia - 204, followed by Burgas - 119 and Stara Zagora - 87.

1,765 vaccines were administered in the past day. There are 2,068,242 people in Bulgaria who have completed the vaccination cycle. There are 859,444 people with a booster dose and 59,491 have had a fourth vaccine shot.

On Thursday, masks in public transport will not be mandatory, but the requirement for mas wearing remains in force in healthcare facilities, pharmacies, optician stores, as well as in institutions for the elderly.
