Plamena Mitkova wins gold medal at the U20 World Athletics Championships

Plamena Mitkova won the long jump title at the World U20 Athletics Championships in Cali, Colombia. She earned the gold medal with a personal best of 6.66 m achieved on her third attempt. This is the first title for Bulgaria at the World Youth Championships since Alexandra Nacheva's victory in the triple jump in 2018. 

Bozhidar Saraboyukov took silver in the high jump with a score of 2.10 m. Earlier at the championships he placed eleventh in the long jump.
