Bulgaria reports 5 Covid-related deaths in past day, positivity rate at 27.7%

722 is the number of new Covid-19 cases out of 2,610 tests performed in the country in the past 24 hours, a positivity rate of 27.7%, up from 25.8% on the previous day, Single Coronavirus Information Portal data show. Two-thirds of the new infections are among the unvaccinated.

The number of active cases in the country is up by 597 to 24,085 in the past day. 28 is the number of new hospital admissions, 19 of them or two-thirds are not vaccinated. The number of patients being treated in hospital is down by 15 to 969, of them 54 are in intensive care.

Five patients with established coronavirus have died in the past day, none of them were vaccinated. 120 is the number of recoveries reported.

A mere 261 doses of vaccine were administered on Saturday.
