Four Bulgarian athletes become Balkan champions

Bulgarian athletes have won six medals in the Balkan U20 Championships, which took place in the period July 16-17 in Denizli, Turkey. Bozhidar Saraboyukov managed to win the titles in the long jump with a personal record of 7.78 and in the high jump with 2.15, atletikabg.com reported. Bozhidar's sister, Irene Saraboyukova, won gold in the high jump with a personal record of 1.78. 2022 European junior triple jump champion Lachezar Valchev also won the gold with a score of 15.71.

Bulgaria's medal collection from the tournament includes two bronze medals by Todor Petrov in the shot put (6 kg) - 17.39, and Simeon Kasals in the discus throw (1.75 kg) - 53.06.
