Bulgaria reports 1,021 new Covid-19 cases out of 5,586 tests performed

1,021 new Covid-19 cases have been confirmed in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours out of 5,586 tests performed, 118 down on the previous day. 62.4% of the new cases are among the unvaccinated. 18.3% of the tests returned positive result, indicate data of coronavirus.bg portal.

The number of active cases of coronavirus infection increased with 231 to 10,547. 85 people have been admitted to hospitals in the past day. 59 of them, or 69.4%, were not immunized. 493 patients are being treated in hospital, as 39 of them are in intensive care units.

Two Covid-related deaths have been reported in the past day. 376 people have been reported cured. 3,644 vaccine doses were administered on Wednesday.
