"As of this moment, we do not have 121 votes of support for a new cabinet," Finance Minister and Prime Minister candidate Assen Vassilev told journalists. He pointed out that talks about support in the 240-seat Bulgarian parliament are still ongoing, but if it is not secured, the cabinet-forming mandate will be returned unfulfilled to President Rumen Radev.
minority government in such a parliament cannot be a sustainable and responsible government of the country, Vassilev added.

According to him, the governance programme of the possible new cabinet is undergoing final consultations with the MPs and it is expected to be made public today.
