Bulgaria reports 866 new Covid-19 cases, positivity rate exceeds 16%

866 is the number of new Covid-19 cases out of 5,189 tests performed in the country in the past 24 hours, 86 down on the previous day. More than 58.3% of the new infections are among the unvaccinated, the positivity rate stands at 16.69%, Single Coronavirus Information Portal data show.

The number of active cases decreased with 12,577 to 38,972. Seventy is the number of new hospital admissions in the past day, 55 of them were not vaccinated. 417 patients are being treated in hospital, 21 more compared to the previous day, 33 of them in intensive care units.

One Covid-related death has been registered in the country in the past day. 13,442 patients have been reported cured. 

1,681 doses of vaccine were administered on Tuesday.
