70 Russian diplomatic staff to leave Bulgaria on Sunday afternoon

70 Russian diplomatic staff and their relatives are expected to leave Bulgaria today. Two planes of the Russian Federation are expected to land at Sofia airport in the early afternoon to take them back to their home country. 

According to unconfirmed information, more than 180 people will board the planes. 

On June 28, Bulgaria's outgoing Premier Kirill Petkov announced the expulsion of 70 Russian diplomatic staff. In Kiril Petkov’s words, "anyone working for foreign interests will be asked to return to the country they came from".
