French President Macron congratulates Bulgarian parliament on decision to lift veto on North Macedonia

"I would like to congratulate the Bulgarian parliament on today's vote, which paves the way for lifting the veto and for start of negotiations with North Macedonia," French President Emmanuel Macron said.

According to him, the work and exchange of views with the partners from Bulgaria and North Macedonia continue in order to formalize the agreement in the coming days. "There is still a lot of work to be done but this breakthrough is truly significant," the French President added.
