The MPs from Democratic Bulgaria insisted on the establishment of a temporary parliamentary commission to investigate the activities of Lukoil and remove the state representative in the company. The DB party group also proposed legal texts to boost competition, after GERB reported that fuel prices had jumped 37% in the past six months and BGN 10m in revenue from these sales get diverted to offshore accounts every day.

They pointed out that the Bulgarian oil refinery does not use the American Brent variety, but Ural oil, whose price per barrel is 78 dollars.

At the same time, for the last 6 months gasoline and diesel in Bulgaria jumped by 50 euro cents, given that the price of Urals oil has not risen, GERB members state.
