More than 330,000 Ukrainians have entered Bulgaria since the beginning of the war. To date, about 78,000 people are residing in the country. Approximately half of them are accommodated in state-owned facilities and hotels under the new humanitarian programme, announced the government press service.

More than 5,600 Ukrainian citizens with temporary protection status have been employed in Bulgaria. This accounts to more than 15% of the able-bodied refugees from Ukraine in the country - the highest percentage of integrated refugees in Bulgaria's recent history. And it was achieved in just 3 months, the government press service said.

Those hired work mainly in the hospitality industry, administrative and construction support services, professional services, research and IT. There are Ukrainians already employed in various industries as managers, specialists, technicians, support and administrative staff, as well as other occupations that do not require special qualifications.
