Macedonia must succeed on its way to the EU in June. I am leaving for Sofia to help find a solution, as long as there is even the slimmest chance of that, said, in Ohrid, Olivér Várhelyi, Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement in an interview with Sitel TV. “We are working closely with the French presidency. We shall leave no stone unturned to achieve that.”

“Bulgaria has three clear requirements if there is to be any progress on the matter,” Bulgarian Prime Minister Kiril Petkov stated after meeting with Olivér Várhelyi in Sofia, and listed them: “Observance of the framework position approved by Bulgarian parliament, signing Bulgarians in North Macedonia’s Constitution, so as to protect their rights, and implementation of the goodneighbour agreement.”
